Discover Punta Cana with the Minitour

The minitour is one of the multiple ways you can choose to explore the astonishing Punta Cana area. This activity is a bit different from the others as you will be driving a convertible MINI Cooper through adjacent areas of the Punta Cana region.

That’s not a mistake; you are going to be driving across the captivating landscape leading to some interesting landmarks.

Getting your Stuff Ready

You have to do whatever it takes to make this minitour memorable. The following items will help you greatly to achieve exactly that.

Mini tour around the Dominican RepublicSunglasses - You are going to need this. Why? Well, you are going to be driving a convertible MINI Cooper which means you will have a lot of sun coming your way. It is a little tough to drive a convertible without them, so keep that in mind (contemplating the awe-inspiring scenery is easier if you don’t have to use your hands to block the sun).

Comfortable clothing - Since you are going on a 7 to 8 hours tour, you need to have clothes that make you feel good.

T-shirts, shorts, sneakers or sandals are ideal to keep you relaxed and comfy (Punta Cana weather is very warm).

Cash - Once more, this is very important. Boca de Yuma and Altos de Chavon are full of souvenirs you will want to take home, so keep a fair amount with you at all times.

Camera - As long as you are on vacation this one should accompany you. Please do not forget your camera and leave it in your hotel room. The pictures you are going to take in the minitour, will bring you happy memories for a lifetime.

Backpack or bag - Your backpack should be big enough to carry lots of souvenirs. Boca de Yuma, Altos de Chavon and Punta Cana Village are all amazing places where you can get a huge number of unique gifts for all your friends. You will probably have a very tough time deciding which items to buy.

Explore exotic areas and make your vacation unique

Ampitheater in Altos de ChavonThis excursion is not limited to Punta Cana as you will have the opportunity to visit several nearby villages that will open your eyes to the true beauty of the Dominican Republic. First, you will travel to the village of Altos de Chavon. This small town is a reconstruction of a 16th century village. The walls of the buildings were constructed in such a way that any visitor stepping in would think the place was actually built centuries ago.

This unique town has plenty of shops where you can acquire mementos from local artists. Get as many as you souvenirs as you like, their designs are quite fascinating. If you get hungry, they have more than their fair share of restaurants serving delicious Mediterranean cuisine. As soon as you finish your meal, you can take your time to gaze at the St. Stanislaus Church. The craftsmanship of this architecture masterpiece is simply stunning but that’s not all. Your probably won’t believe your eyes when you see an ancient Roman amphitheater used for musical shows.

The minitour will also take you to the La flor Dominicana Cigar Factory. You will see how their high quality cigars are created from tobacco leaves. No doubt you must be curious about how good they really are. Well, they have premium cigars with plenty of flavors and sizes, but if you really need to know for sure give it a try and see for yourself.Place for the lunch of the minitour

Boca de Yuma is another mandatory stop for this adventure. This small village is full of natural wonders such as crystal clear waters and mesmerizing beaches. Enjoy at mouthwatering lunch at this rustic fishing village. Do not miss the chance of visiting the Museum of the Spanish conqueror Juan Ponce de Leon. This place was originally his home which was built by Taino workers. Eventually it was restored and turned into a museum.
