Shuttle Puerto Rico Punta Cana
How to travel from Puerto Rico
to Punta Cana
Shuttle from Puerto Rico to Punta Cana - You may have more
choices but for me these are two of the best ones.
From your hotel/house take a taxi or guagua (bus) to the Luis
Munoz Marin International
Airport. From
there, you will take a flight and arrive to
Punta Cana.
The trip from San Juan, Puerto Rico to Punta Cana,
Dominican Republic takes only about 50 minutes. The time goes by really
fast, because you start to fill in the blanks of the customs form that
the
airline gives ahead of time before arriving to the Punta Cana airport.
Another option is to go to Ponce at the Mercedita Airport and
travel directly to Punta Cana through PAWA Dominicana. The all
inclusive travel charters from Ponce are available at various
particular scheduled
times during the year, mostly during summer months (June and July). You
will probably have the transportation to the
resort included.
Through PAWA Dominicana you can also fly from Aguadilla straight to
Punta Cana.
With
the increase of people wanting to take vacations in a
nearby country (with the advantage that is Spanish speaking as
well) more cities are offering flights to get to the Dominican Republic
and then back to the island of Puerto Rico.
If you will be first in Santo Domingo and
later want to visit Punta
Cana, you can also take a
ride in a bus for about 3 to 4 hours to the region, if not you can go
in taxi, rent a car, or take a flight.
