The Punta Cana Grand (now the Grand Oasis Punta Cana) is one of a kind resort in Punta Cana. This place is a 5 star all inclusive resort with an incredible service.

It has a great amount of options to have fun. Now, this resort is a small one which means the walking from one area to the other is quite minimal. With more than 346 rooms and 8 suites this resort has an aura of great exclusivity. The area is very well cleaned and organized, this includes the beach where the seaweeds are raked off quite frequently. Once again families with children, honeymooners, couples, and young singles can all find something to enjoy in this one of a kind resort.

I say one of a kind because even by being quite small this resort can match any of the biggest ones in service and options. Finding the restaurants, places for night shows, bars, casinos, and other services is way easier in this resort, precisely because of it’s small size unlike many bigger resorts where finding something simple like a restaurant can be a very demanding task.

The rooms at the Punta Cana Grand are equipped as you would expect from a 5 star resort. English and Caribbean architecture are part of the beautiful design of this accommodations. The terraces and balconies with either ocean or pool view will relax even the most stressed visitor. A king size bed or 2 queen beds, telephone, satellite TV, air condition, safe deposit, mini bar that is restocked daily, and a very good looking bathroom complement this amazing scenario. Rooms are neat with big space and pretty much anything you would want to have where you live in. The room service at the Punta Cana Grand (Grand Oasis Punta Cana) is fantastic, they will bring anything that you might require and more. Of course tipping always help to improve the service especially here, the staff works very hard to ensure you have a nice stay and they will do whatever it takes for you to have the accommodations that you wish to get.

This extraordinary 5 star resort counts with 3 pools well distributed among the area. At the Punta Cana Grand (Grand Oasis), there is the main pool where you will noticed some bridges, small islands, breathtaking architecture surrounding it, and the almost imperative swim up bar. You will see many chairs around like in most pools in Punta Cana and yes you will need to save them with a towel but is not that drastic as in other resorts because the crowd here is not that big. The shallow pool for children is a nice area to consider for the kids where they can do pretty much all the splashing they love to do. You cannot forget the pool with Jacuzzi and a private bar that is for adults only. This one tends to be the first one to be full, so unless you want to get up really early I wouldn’t count on it too much.

The beach around here has over 1000 feet of white sand marvel with crystal clear water and is also protected by a coral reef. Scuba diving near the reef can be done but you will have to deal with an excursion that almost always involves an extra fee. The seaweeds are annoying as usual but the staff makes the most to take care of it and make the beach look cleaner.

The meals at the Punta Cana Grand (Grand Oasis Punta Cana) to "die for". The 4 restaurants around here really can deliver. The Windows international buffet is the main one where you can eat all your meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner) and they have an excellent service where they provide exceptional international cuisine. The always needed a la carte restaurants in here are among the best in Punta Cana. You can expect the Da Mario's Ristorante Italiano (as you can see it is an Italian restaurant) to have a romantic environment that will transport you to Italy. Unlike most restaurants in Punta Cana this one won’t require a reservation but long pants dressing will be necessary to attend. The American grill Tex-Mex Restaurant which specialize in south western grilled food and have a nice western music. No reservation required for this restaurant either but just in case follow the dress code. Once a week they prepare a dinner candle light meal which seems like a very romantic set for couples. Remember that the a la carte restaurants are only open during dinner time so for breakfast and lunch your choice will be the buffet.

Many features are part of this vacation spot like: the spa (whirlpool baths, facial treatments, saunas, massage cabins, juice bar), additional charge for spa treatments. Perfectly well equipped gym with a professional trainer. At the Punta Cana Grand there are 3 breathtaking golf courses just 30 minutes away from the Punta Cana Grand resort. There is a bicycle center where they provide rides around Punta Cana, tennis center with weekly tournaments and private lessons (extra charge), volleyball where you can play: 1 on 1, pairs or the hotel staff vs. guests in the afternoon. The equipment for the water sports will be available, for example: catamarans, kayaks, windsurfing lessons, boogie boards, snorkeling tours, banana boats, sailboats, and deep sea fishing excursions. Free scuba diving lessons in the pool will be part of the deal. I got a weakness for the water sports as they are my favorite but you can do pretty much anything you like even when sadly you won’t have time to do all that you wish.

For the kids the Explorer's Club is a supervised children program where they arrange many activities like: going to the zoo, making sand castles, etc. plus they got a night movie program. The Punta Cana Grand Resort posses 5 bars (the swim up bar, the piano bar, the beach garden restaurant, a bar which is located in the adult part only, and the bar in the Disco). In the theater area where they provide the night shows there is also a bar. For the night show there is presented the artist imitations and dancers that even with low budget they make their best to provide a nice entertainment. The music in the Disco is good but as you know by being in the Dominican Republic you will hear a lot of merengue and ultimately the crowd in there will provide the necessary atmosphere for it to be a party an environment.
