Rooms

One of the greatest assets of the Punta Cana Hotel is the wide array of rooms that have available. A total of 400 guest rooms and suites provide this place plenty of space to accommodate the most vacation hungry visitor. Flat screens TV with satellite, coffeemakers, air conditioning, safety boxes and phones are part of the elements that make this resort one of the best in Punta Cana.

The deluxe suites and deluxe junior suites will have a dazzling view of the sea and gardens with furniture made of mahogany or rattan. The deluxe suite will have 2 luxurious rooms with a king size bed on the second floor and a second bathroom on the lower floor. The deluxe junior suite will have a room with a queen size bed and a living room on the same floor.

The deluxe accommodation will be located on buildings of 3 rooms with direct access to the beautiful waters of the beach. Two double beds or a king size bed and a balcony with view to the beach and the gardens are also part of the deluxe accommodation. Each villa of the Punta Cana Hotel will have its own living room with a garden or balcony. Beach casitas are directly located on the beach inside an area filled with coconut trees. Beach casitas have a room with a queen size bed and depending on the casita type 1 or 2 extra rooms with 2 twin beds. Each villa posses a living room with a garden or balcony.

The Marina apartments located at the resort are a fantastic alternative to the traditional rooms. They have one bed room with 2 double beds, kitchen, a huge living room, exquisite bathroom, access to a great pool and to the Punta Cana Marina.

Pool and Beach

The pools at the Punta Cana hotel are quite big and in very good condition. The one located at the club house is simply amazing and a remarkable place to relax and have fun. The marvelous beach has 3 miles of never ending fine white sand with turquoise waters. The area is rarely crowded so you will be able to find a well positioned chair in front of the ocean without much effort. There is a magnificent coral reef that protects the beach from the waves creating a calming and serene environment for you to relax.

Food

The Punta Cana Hotel has 8 restaurants that provide excellent cuisine to the hungriest visitor. La Cana is the main buffet of the resort providing a pretty decent breakfast every morning. The juice bar offers a very high quality juice that you won’t forget.

La Yola restaurant is a seafood and Mediterranean meal place. You can have lunch and dinner as well at La Yola a la carte restaurant. The place is designed to resemble a typical Dominican boat. The menu is fairly decent especially their Dominicans dishes although the meals can get a bit pricey. Another a la carte restaurant is the Bamboo restaurant decorated by the famous Oscar de la Renta. Bamboo is located at the Tortuga Bay on the same property as the Punta Cana hotel and resort.

The restaurant has Mediterranean dishes for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The grilled shrimp and the lobster are cooked well, the desserts like the bread pudding will simply make your day and if you are a fan of coffee you will feel just like home as you try all the varieties they offer. Do not forget the dress code is casual elegant and reservations are required.

Playa Blanca is another great place where you can eat well at the Punta Cana hotel. This restaurant has a tropical atmosphere with an incredible view of the ocean. Great seafood and all kinds of grilled meats are waiting for you at this fine setting. There is also live music that you can enjoy as you partake on a delicious feast.

El Grill is a place to eat located at the La Cana Golf Clubhouse. There is a fantastic view of the golf course and the Caribbean Sea that you can enjoy as you eat delicious steak dishes and very well prepared salads. You can also get a wide variety of light dishes and sandwiches. Eating here does not require a reservation and is only open for lunch.

The Franco’s Trattoria restaurant located at the Punta Cana hotel Dominican Republic offers marvelous tasty Italian cuisine. Its pizza is very tasty and the menu is inexpensive compared to the other restaurants. The place is open for lunch and dinner. The dress code won’t allow shorts but casual dressing is allowed.

La Choza is a restaurant located on the beach area that specializes in seafood and sandwiches. Some of the sandwiches like the chicken one can be pretty good and shouldn’t be missed. Casual dressing is allowed and no reservation is needed. The Cocoloba restaurant offers a menu of Dominican gourmet meals. The place located at the second floor of the La Cana golf course is elegant and luxurious which provides an excellent environment for a fine dinner. The dress code for this restaurant is casual elegant as well.

Entertainment

Even when the Punta Cana Hotel is more oriented toward having a relaxing time there stills many activities to do when you are done resting. The immense La Cana Golf Course will provide you hours of fun and excitement. This course designed by P.B. Dye is directly in front of the ocean offering an astonishing view of sea while you play a relaxing round of golf.

The ecological park will dazzle you with its natural beauty. The several well maintained lagoons inside the reserve at the Punta Cana hotel have an abundant marine life that you can experience firsthand as you swim and snorkel through them.

You can take some time for scuba diving to explore the fantastic and mysterious sunken ships located near a breathtaking coral reef as well. Other fun activities that you can engage are: water skiing, bike riding, a mini zoo, tennis, archery, sailing and even life sized chess. El Rancho provides several horseback riding experiences; You can start with basic lessons even if you have never rode a horse in your life, once you have gotten the grasp, you can ride along the beach to watch the breathtaking sunset and also take a stroll through the landscape of the La Cana Golf Course which is simply amazing.

There is also a village close to the Punta Cana Hotel Dominican Republic that has several stores and restaurants where you can get all kinds of souvenirs and great food at very low prices. You will also have kids club for the age of 4 to 12 where your kids will have plenty of things to do. Live music in the main lobby at nights with Latin music is another plus. For the fishing fans the Punta Cana marina is right there you can easily rent a boat for an excursion to the shore and have the time of your life.
