Paradisus Punta Cana Resort

Enjoy your family vacation at the Paradisus

Paradisus Punta Cana resort is quite an amazing one. This 4 star resort has approximately 542 suite rooms which makes it middle size; not too big nor too small.

That can help in a way because it means that the walk to the beach is not long like in other Punta Cana resorts. This luxurious hotel is more oriented toward families and honeymooners. The partying atmosphere here is mild but is not that great like in some other resorts, so if you are looking for a big party time environment this is not the place for you. This all inclusive resort has some extraordinary decorations like an entrance decorated with slatted walkways leading to a raised platforms over a huge pond of goldfishes.

They have also some children supervised activities, playground and children’s pool.

Rooms

At the Paradisus Punta Cana resort, even when most rooms here at not that big they have a bit of an unusual layout compared to how they look in other resorts. First, there are many different room types here so I will describe the average room. A king size bed or 2 single beds combined with some well painted wooden drawers and a couple of wooden chairs. A curtain covering the door to the terrace and some plants spread over the suite are also part of this marvelous place. The rooms are very well cleaned and with the appropriate helpful stuff like the refrigerator with soft drinks, iron, satellite TV, and the safe box. As usual the place is air conditioner as well with some ceiling fans to help the room keep the freshness. The big marble bathrooms are another great detail of this resort, don’t know about you but I love massive bathrooms (feel less claustrophobic that way). Some rooms even have a coffeemaker which can solve the coffee cravings but is usually better to wait for the breakfast (they serve better coffee at the buffet).

Pool and beach

The Paradisus Punta Cana resort has one pool but that pool is almost an immense lake with lush of vegetation all around it. The swim up bar is an extraordinary feature which complements well with the small forested areas in the pool that look like islands. Is one of the biggest pools that I have ever seen in my life and it has a separated area for the children. The flourishing gardens near the pool provide this spectacular view over it.

The Bavaro beach with it’s white and crystal-clear water is one of the best spots to spend the day in this resort. Depending on the room that you stay the walk to the beach might be a bit tiresome, so always request a suite near the beach to be safe. To grab a nice chair in the beach getting up early is needed.

Food

This resort have so many options for getting the meals that is very hard to decide. The main restaurant is the buffet Hybiscus, which is very similar to the rest of the buffets in Punta Cana. The main point of difference between this resort and the others is that this one has an incredible number of alternatives to the buffet. There are many a la carte restaurants almost for every possible taste you could have. Brazilian, Japanese, Italian, Mexican, Chinese, French, and sea food are among the choices you will find here.

Note that for this restaurants the dressing has to be a little more formal; meaning no jeans, flip flops or shorts are allowed. Also don’t forget to make reservations, which is preferably to do as soon as you arrive to the resort and good tipping is always your friend.

Entertainment

To have fun in this place you will have so many choices there will be no way you can do them all. For the ones that like more the land activities there is: tennis, paddle tennis, rock climbing, biking, riding horses, aerobics, shooting gallery, etc. Now for the people that enjoy the sea to it’s full extent there is plenty to do as well. Windsurfing, sailing, canoes, snorkeling, scuba diving, aqua aerobics, and more is available too.

As you can see there are too many choices, so I guarantee you won’t get bored at the Paradisus Punta Cana resort. For the kids there is this mini club that has many ways to entertain the children. Also you can use the babysitting service that this resort offers, of course for a small extra fee. In the night you have the choice of shows in the theater and a special full moon horseback riding is something to look forward to. After that a good time in the disco could be in order, followed by some casino fun.
