La Cana Golf Course Punta Cana is known to be one of the most impressive and well designed courses in the whole Caribbean area. The course was created by the inspired mind of the popular course designer P.B. Dye in the year 2000. It is located at the Punta Cana Resort and Club the course.
The
use of a captivating design that can astonish players of all skill
levels is one of its most interesting features. Once a player set foot
on this course they will immediately notice the majestic view of the
ocean that can be observed from the vast majority of the course.
The La Cana Golf Course Punta Cana is unlike any other. The landscape of the area is covered with paspalum grass which requires very little effort to maintain while it keeps the overall green looks. This breathtaking 7150 yard course was built in front of the ocean to provide a spectacular scenery for all players. The impressive view is something that very few courses posses but that is not all; while the sight of the ocean is beautiful it adds a very challenging element to the course.
As you know the wind at the shore is very strong that
fact makes playing effectively quite difficult. In most holes
especially the 4 that are just at the water edge the wind can easily
deviate most of the shots taken; so you have to take that into
consideration before attempting them. In the fifth hole the ocean is
right next to you making it especially difficult, very few protection
areas so will have to do be very precise in your shot. The 17th and the
18th hole at the La Cana Golf Course Punta Cana are also very close to
the water fortunately there several bunkers close that can defend your
shot. Once you are done playing in the course you can relax at the club
house called the 19th hole. If you love having a refreshing drink after
a nice round of golf; you will certainly love the place but that’s not
all, there is a pool very close to the clubhouse that you can use to
renew yourself and a very fine restaurant where you can fill your
stomach with gourmet meals.
Playing at La Cana Golf Course Punta Cana is quite an experience; like most golf courses can be a bit pricey but is definitely worth it. Guests at the Punta Cana Resort and Club playing 18 holes have to pay a green fee of $135 per person. This fee include the use of a golf cart, taxes, unlimited balls for practice, 2 water bottles and transportation from and to the resort. There is a special package available for people desiring to play 4 rounds for $460. If you play after 2 pm you can get the twilight fee which is $100 per person for all the previously mentioned services. This is the ideal time to play for those who want to save serious money and prefer a less crowded atmosphere.
If you are not a guest at the Punta Cana Resort and Club the fees at the La Cana Golf Course are going to be slightly higher. The green fee for an 18 hole round is about $175 per person and $140 after 2 pm. The 4 round package is around $560. The use of caddies and the rental of golf clubs involve an extra charge.
