Tips to Improve your Golf
Swing
How you can
play better at the golf course
To
become a really good golf player you need to improve your golf swing.
Even when the basic elements to play golf are the same for everybody
the differences in the body type make necessary to execute some
adjustments.
A lot
of practice is necessary in order to develop your
own swing and to be really good at it. One of the most important
tips to improve your golf swing is to keep your
head still and look directly into the ball. Your head should be in a
straight line with your spine and your nose must be a bit raised at
the moment you execute your swing. Many people make the mistake of
tucking their heads into the chest to keep their head still and look
straight down to the ball.
In
order to correct this first assume the
right stance with your feet and knees in position but keep your head
and back straight incline forward a little at the waist and look
straight at the ball. When you make the swing in this
position is
very likely your left shoulder will hit your chin. While keeping your
eyes on the ball, raise your head slightly until the left shoulder
doesn’t hit the chin anymore. To make sure your head does not move
sideways is important to keep looking at the ball.
Very slowly
practice the backswing and downswing parts of the golf swing and do
the follow through. Do not hit the ball yet. Keep practicing in your
backyard and you will notice some improvement.
The
movement of the hands and forearms are among the main techniques to
improve
your golf swing. First, put yourself into the position like you are
going to actually hit the ball, then flip your trailing wrist
like
you were casting a fishing pole. This is commonly called as wrist
break and is not a move that you want to execute while swinging. If
you put a watch you will be able to see the correct move to make. As
your leading arm advances impact the watch face should be getting
close to pointing exactly down the destination line.
Then
simply
rotate the watch face so it points to the ground. With a golf
club in
your hand you will notice that this move make your trailing wrist and
forearm flip on top of the leading wrist and forearm. You will notice
as well this move reduce the slice and increase the distance of the
shot. Don’t forget to keep your forearms as close as they can be
through the impact area. If you can master that it will increase the
distance of your shot and will help a lot your slice.
