Iberostar Punta Cana Resort, Dominican Republic

The Iberostar Punta Cana is a 4 stars resort located nearly 35 miles from the city of Higuey. It is located approximately 45 minutes away from the Punta Cana airport.

All the guests from the Iberostar Punta Cana and Dominicana are allowed to use the facilities in any of them. It is a good place to stay but if you are mainly looking for the luxury is recommended to check other Punta Cana resorts.

In the Iberostar there are 346 beautiful available rooms. The standard guestrooms include a large double bed or twin beds, bathroom, air conditioner, cable TV, ceiling fan, telephone, hairdryer and the mini bar with drinks included. Junior suites located in two-story bungalows, they include a living room area.

r the children's pool. The sunbathing is also available at the resort. Anyone can relax by going into the pool or just resting on the comfortable lounge chairs. The combination of the lake-style pool, the shaded palapas, and the palm trees create a summery atmosphere for the all the guests to enjoy.

Get up early for a nice place on the beach. Relaxing under the shades is a an excellent way to forget about the everyday routine. The crystal turquoise waters and the white sand are the combination of this marvelous looking beach. Additionally there is a flea market on the right side of the beach.

Besides eating at the buffet, you can also have your dinner at the a la carte restaurants with reservations (remember to be well dressed). These are: La Sibila (gourmet, only twice a week), La Cana (grill/steakhouse at evening), La Marimba (Italian), and Maria Bonita (Mexican). If you want to hang out on the beach all day you won't be starving, there is El Conuco Restaurant serving breakfast and lunch until 4:00 pm.

Numerous things to do are available, there are: aerobics, dance lessons, tennis, archery, billiards, water polo, spa with Jacuzzi and sauna (requires appointment), windsurfing, sailing, snorkeling and more. Some are offered at an additional charge. The children from ages 3 to 12 can have fun at the Mini-Club, supervised by the staff.

Excursions to Saona island, Isla Catalina, Jeep Safari, and Manati park (check the daytime activities section for more information) are another way to have unforgettable fun. To visit the Saona island you have to pay 18 US dollars per person and 25 US dollars per person to Manati park.

At night you can go and show off your moves at the disco, attend the hilarious night shows, walk around the resort, try your luck in the casino or just rest in your cozy room while watching some cable TV.
