Hotels Punta Cana

I have seen on the map of different hotels in Punta Cana (like Catalonia), they seem to be far from the beach (600m-3km). Is this right or do mostly of the hotels have their own beach with snack bar, restaurant, etc.

I thought mostly of the hotels were on the beach. What is right, can you give me some advice?


Answer:

Most of the resorts are located at the beach with snack bars, etc. but not directly at the shore. A few of them are very near the beach, for example the beach casitas at the PuntaCana hotel.

But most of the times you have to walk a bit. Remember that in order for the hotels' structures to be protected they need to be at that distance.
