The Larimar Punta Cana is a resort with an elegant architecture and breathtaking landscape. There are golf clubs nearby and several interesting locations for excursions. The resort has a luxurious look with the tall palm trees and the structured design of the buildings.

The resort is located at the Bavaro beach and is just 25 minutes away from the Punta Cana International airport. There are a total of 642 rooms in the 5 stars all inclusive resort, including the preferred club accommodations, 7 restaurants to satisfy your palate and 9 bars where you can get your favorite drinks.

Rooms

The Larimar Punta Cana resort has over 642 neat looking rooms. You will feel very comfortable with the sophisticated nature design. Among the rooms there are: the deluxe rooms and the paradise club rooms. The Deluxe rooms have a king size bed or 2 double beds, LCD TV, bathroom with shower and Jacuzzi, hair dryer, terrace, fans, air conditioner.

Also umbrellas, safe, phone, DVD player, 24 room service, mini bar and a coffee maker. And if you want a more fancy experience the Preferred Club rooms offers you: luxurious amenities, beach towels and bathrobes, 15 min. massage (for the adults), plasma TV, mini bar, pillow menu, bathroom with Jacuzzi and shower, VIP pool, private check in and lounge, bathrooms with double sinks and upgraded room service. The preferred suites have the added benefits of 2 extra mirrors, Jacuzzi on the terrace and a living room with separate dining area. The rooms are quite spacious and the view is spectacular.

Don't forget to tip the maid if you're satisfied with the cleaning, it helps a lot as the economic situation is not the best.

Pool and Beach

There are 5 pools for the people that want to swim or take a break to repose in the comfy Larimar Punta Cana. You can find several stylish lounge chairs located around the pools to get the well deserved rest you need. The swim-up bar offers a great variety of liquors and the service there cannot be matched. Getting a good spot at the pool is very easy no need to get up extremely early to get a chair.

The stunning Bavaro beach with its 700 yards of snow white sand and refreshing turquoise-tone water is just right for any of the activities and resting as well. The water activities at the beach are plenty and are unlikely you will run out of things to do. While being outside the buildings of the resort is fun, remember to bring your sunscreen lotion to protect yourself from the sun.

Food

There are a total of 7 restaurants at the Larimar Punta Cana. The main buffet called Carnival International Cafe offers a wide range of international food and is open for the three main meals of the day. The place is air conditioned but has the alternative for eating outdoors as well.

Near the beach there is the Castaways restaurant, in which you can eat snacks. The restaurant serves lunch, turns into a la carte at dinner and is the perfect spot to enjoy a meal close to the beach. The Barefoot Grill is another great alternative if you find delightful the taste of hotdogs and hamburgers near the beach.

The a la carte restaurants in the resort will provide you a fantastic experience of new tastes. The Bluewater Grill (grilled food), Capers (Italian food), Spice (Asian cuisine), and Mercure (French Gourmet meals) will amazed you with their original dishes. One detail to remember is that you do not need reservations to eat at any of the a la carte restaurants at the Larimar Punta Cana resort and you need to follow the casual elegance dress code for most of them (exception to this is the French restaurant that requires formal clothing). If you want to eat at your room the NH Real has 24 hours' room service.

Aside from the restaurants you will see many bars, including: the Tortuga bar, Scores sports bar, The Moments Lobby bar, The Mix bar, The Showtime bar, The Reef bar and a plentiful variety of drinks.

Entertainment

If water sports are your thing the staff at the Larimar Punta Cana, previously called NH Real Arena has available in the beach: parasailing, marine life observation boats, catamaran rides, sports fishing, speed boats, snorkeling, kayaking, windsurfing, diving, volleyball, and party boats. You also have the options of: going on tours, visiting the Manati Park, horseback riding, golfing at the Cocotal Golf and Country club or the “La Cana” golf course and many more. If at daytime you want other alternatives you have: a spa, video games, internet access, fitness center, tennis courts, bowling alley, spanish classes, dance classes, water aerobics, a basketball court, pool tables, pay per view films, and Satellite TV Radio.

The kids have a playing area, diverse scheduled activities, teens club; additionally there is a babysitting service. At night time you can go for some drinks, try your luck at the casino, go to the live entertainment (some shows are good) or if you like you can spend some time dancing at the Eclipse Nightclub.
