How safe is the drinking water? Is it safe to drink on the excursions, outside of the resort?


Answer:

Do not drink tap water at any moment. Only drink bottled water in Punta Cana or in any other part of the Dominican Republic.

You should also used bottled water when brushing your teeth. To avoid any health problems on your vacation, eat meals without mayonnaise or sea food and no fresh juices (as they probably contain tap water).

Take with you the basic medications, like: medicine for stomach problems in case that a friend or family member unknowingly drinks tap water and has a reaction.
