All these rooms are located in buildings with 4 levels and they include: king size bed or 2 double beds with pillow top, sofa bed, ceiling fan, mini bar, air conditioning, iron with ironing board, safety box, terrace with Jacuzzi for 2 people, coffee maker, flat screen TV, mirror, slippers, fully equipped bathroom with dryer and bathrobe, radio alarm with mp3 player connection and lighting system triggered by movement. These premium accommodations have the amenities of the non premium rooms plus something extra.

Pool and Beach

A breathtaking free form pool surrounded by towering palms, small islands all scattered through the area, and bridges that interconnect the different sectors in the pool combine perfectly to create a paradisiacal atmosphere. The pools at the resort are quite clean and you can use them according to your needs. There are areas that you can use for swimming, relaxing and drinking. Even the children have their own shallow area where they can play around. Pool beds and water jets are elements of the resort.

The Barcelo Bavaro Palace Deluxe stretches for 2km with its white sand and also a natural coral reef for the snorkeling fans. The coral reef has the additional benefit of creating a barrier that protects the shore while making a natural pool. There are a lot of chairs at the beach so you don’t have to get up extremely early to find a good spot. The water at the beach is crystal clear making it ideal for snorkeling and other water activities.

Food

A good meal helps for a good vacation and the Barcelo Bavaro Palace Deluxe is not an exception. The hotel offers excellent meals and a variety of dishes that can delight any palate. There is a total of 9 great restaurants at this complex, 2 are buffets while the other 7 are a la carte restaurants. The striker sportbar is another alternative for enjoying your meals although it doesn’t have that much variety. The buffets are the Miramar international buffet and the Bohio Dominicano buffet restaurant. Both buffets offer an incredible variety of delicacies (like shrimp, caviar and even lobster) and are open for the 3 main meals of the day (breakfast, lunch and dinner). The service is impressive plus everything is kept well cleaned. No need of worrying if you get tired of the buffet, the themed restaurants will help you get the meal that you want. It doesn’t matter if with the food you are the pickiest person on this world, I guarantee that you will find something that you love.

There are 7 a la carte restaurants in the hotel they are the La Comedie (French restaurant), La Dolce Vita (Italian Restaurant), La Fuente (Spanish restaurant), Kyoto (Japanese restaurant and sushi bar), Mexico Lindo (Mexican cuisine), Steakhouse (different meat specialties) and El Coral restaurant (excellent seafood). La Comedie offers a asparagus soup that is a must to taste. The Kyoto restaurant is definitely one of the highlights of the resort as its sushi is simply amazing and the Coral restaurant has a quite delicious salad. Remember to do your reservations as soon as you arrive in the Barcelo Bavaro Palace to avoid complications, just in case wear long pants with closed shoes at dinner with when you eat in a la carte restaurants and don’t forget to bring a nice tip (that will help in getting inside faster).

At the Barcelo Bavaro Palace Deluxe you can order your favorite drink in every meal, the service will do whatever it takes to please you and of course you can reward them accordingly.

Entertainment

You might think you will have many options to have fun in this 5 star resort, well you are right; the Barcelo Bavaro Palace Deluxe has the best quality shows, discos, excursions, casinos, and more will be present here. The kids have a play ground, water park, a mini golf course, and a teen disco; all for themselves. So if you have children don’t worry, this place has something for them. You can have a wonderful relaxing experience in a very well prepared spa with an alluring view to the sea (extra fee). If you are a golf fan the place has something for you; an astounding 18 hole golf course designed by P.B. Dye (extra fee). You can have a free green fee per person per every night stayed if you use Club Premium accommodations.

The range of usual daylight activities go from: aerobics, basketball, water polo, tennis, soccer, beach volleyball, table tennis, mini golf, darts, fitness center to pedal boats, windsurfing, snorkeling with its equipment and kayaks.

Of course there are more exciting things to do like catamaran, deep sea fishing, scuba diving, water skiing and several excursions like the ones to Dolphin island (where you can play with dolphins) and Jeep Safari (driving across mountains and different plantations); this second set of activities requires an extra charge but they are very worth it.

The bars are an essential part for me so I can’t forget about those, there are many bars in the resort area that will make finding your favorite drink extremely easy to enjoy the fantastic night shows. There is also a casino where you can play your favorite games and is open 24 hours a day.
