Punta Cana Scuba Diving is one of the main reasons to go in vacation to this place, especially because of the clear and turquoise color of the waters.

There are many ways of enjoying the waters. Scuba diving and snorkeling are among the best ways to explore and rejoice in this waters.

There are many areas in Punta Cana and Bavaro where you can scuba dive, however, they are too shallow if you are an experienced scuba diver and need a challenge. There are many spots near the area of Punta Cana where you can enjoy some real good scuba diving. 

Many resorts offer scuba diving classes for the beginners, so be sure to consult your tour guide about such services. Now, for the real scuba diving there are places like isla Saona and isla Catalina that can satisfy even the most experienced diver.

 
SAONA ISLAND

Saona Island is a tropical island located at the south-east of Dominican Republic. This beautiful island is a nature reserve, which means that it is protected by the government.
 

How to get there?

Saona IslandTo get to Saona Island, you need to book the tour at your hotel. You can choose among different trips, like just 1 hour tour or a full day tour. They will provide you transportation to travel by bus to a fishing village called "Bayahibe". Then, you will board a yacht (you can have some drinks too) and sail to the island. Once there, people from the island will be waiting for you, and they will receive you with music!!!  

Then, you can enjoy the beach, see different birds, fishes, take pictures or videos, go scuba diving, of course, and more. They provide you with the equipment. One of the greatest features in this place is the wall which is a 80 feet dive where you can appreciate the view of a submarine cliff with wondrous underwater life. There are many Punta Cana scuba diving centers like: the Punta Cana dive center, Scuba caribe, Punta Cana Scuba Diving, Pelicano water sport, and more.

 
ISLA CATALINA

The other place worth of the greatest scuba divers is the waters near isla Catalina.
Remember to book your tour at your hotel. Sunken ships from historical times provide the Catalina islandperfect environment for natural reef grow. 

The sunken ship near Isla Catalina is prove of the statement mentioned. The exploration near the Isla Catalina is very popular however to enjoy the view of the reefs in the sunken ship you have to be a certified scuba diver
