Excellence Punta Cana Resort:A Relaxing, Five Star Resort for Adults Only, No Kids Allowed!
The Excellence Punta Cana Resort is formerly known as "Secrets Excellence Punta Cana". The 5 star resort is an adult only resort which sets them quite apart from most of the resorts around. Even when the sight of kids is considered pretty common in Punta Cana, some couples want time for themselves and this place is exactly what they need. This resort is not that big, as it only has 480 rooms; but don’t let that fool you, the area is surrounded by a huge amount of trees creating a very relaxing atmosphere.
Remember that this place is oriented for couples, so if you have an idea like having a big family vacation don’t think about this place. The range of activities here like spa with massages, fitness centers, the incredible food, and more are specially customized for the couples. The staff here works really hard to please all the guests and they are well trained to speak many languages at least for the most basic stuff. There is also the VIP section which you can upgrade, which offers several more benefits and luxuries. Rooms
Let’s begin with the common equipment to all room types in the Excellence Punta Cana: 24 hour room service, coffee maker, iron with board, satellite TV (with HBO, Cinemax, etc.). Also a minibar that is restocked everyday with sodas, beer, and water, telephone, internet, the usual air conditioner, a luxurious bed, Jacuzzi for two and bathrobes. Now you are starting to see that the accommodations in the Excellence Punta Cana Resort are one of the most luxurious of Punta Cana. Along with the junior suites the other types are: Swim-out suites (which are in the ground floor and provide access from the room and the patio to the pool), Master suites that offer pool view and 2 rooms that are separated and the most prized Honeymoon suite with outdoor Jacuzzi. All the rooms are beautifully designed with marble, very fast and efficient room service and the list of activities always provided the next day. Sounds good isn't it? And please, don’t forget to lock all your valuables in the safe as you know some employees might feel tempted if they see nice stuff all over the place. Beach and Pool

The fun in the Excellence Punta Cana Resort never ends, you can begin with some basic land sports like: bicycles, tennis, horseback riding, aerobics, volleyball, yoga, and more. I know that maybe yoga is not a sport but still a great relaxing activity to do. The horseback riding can be done for 30 minutes without an extra cost, after that it will involve extra fees and remember: don’t wear shorts if you are going to ride on a horse (it can be a bit painful). I forgot to mention the dancing and Spanish lessons which is a great way to have fun and learn something new at same time.
The night shows are one the best entertainments around (in that they got a magician, a Michael Jackson show, belly dancers). A piano player who is hilarious and also enjoy to make the people sing is a big part of the events going on in the night shows. The Casino around is opened from 7 pm to 3 am, it provides a small club with a bar, black jack, roulette, slot machines, and more. I don’t recommend the people to play in this casinos as they will likely lose all their cash. A spa or an excursion outside the area would be a much better choice to invest your money, especially with that special someone.

The Excellence Punta Cana Resort has quite an amazing and
extensive beach. Unlike the beaches in most resorts this one won’t get packed
very early in the morning so you and your special partner don’t have to get up
early just to save a spot on the beach. The
The
main pool has a fantastic outline and is extraordinarily
huge in size. The decorations in the pool include small bridges and swim-up
Palapa bars for refreshments that always come in handy. There is a private
pool which has a view of a breathtaking waterfall that makes it perfect for
maximum relaxing time.
One of the best features of the Excellence Punta Cana is
the awesome taste in their cuisine. The meals in this resort are great but not
only because of the variety, the fact you can find 7 restaurants from all around
the world is a nice plus. There is the Higuey buffet where they serve a
fantastic breakfast; Italian, Mexican, sea food, French, Chinese, Japanese, and
Mediterranean restaurants are also part of this amazing combination. They are
all very good but I prefer Italian and seafood. The Italian, the
sea food one, and the Mediterranean provide meals for lunch time and the rest
for dinner. The restaurants here don’t require reservations and many are not
that strict in the dressing code which is great (considering that most
restaurants in Punta Cana resorts have a more strict dressing code and are a
pain to get the reservations). Even the most picky eaters will enjoy the food
here as they provide for almost every imaginable taste.
The resort also features a
fitness center to exercise if
you feel like it and the essential spa where they offer a huge amount of
services to help you relax, like: massages, mud baths, facial treatments, and
more. The spa costs extra money but is so worth it; after it you will feel like
a million dollars (and more). The water activities are always a nice choice,
even when some people considering the nature of this resort decide for another
type of activities.
